JB Wendelken looking like Arizona’s closer

September 13, 2021

Arizona Diamondbacks – Though he pitched the worst of any of Arizona’s relievers yesterday, JB Wendelken managed to get the save and has now gotten two consecutive ninth innings in games that the D-Backs were leading. We’ll push him to the top of this committee; Arizona is pretty bad, but he might be good for another chance or two down the stretch.

Updated hierarchy: *Wendelken | Ramirez | Mantiply.
* = closer-by-committee

Milwaukee Brewers – Aaron Ashby picked up a three-inning save with a dominant outing in the Brewers blowout victory. He doesn’t factor in to their normal late inning plans.

Hierarchy remains: Hader | Williams | Boxberger.
