Oakland A’s — Dany Jimenez had converted his first 10 save opportunities, but now he’s started a streak in the other direction. Because he left with the lead, Jimenez didn’t get a blown save for Wednesday’s outing, but his two singles and two walks allowed set the stage for a bases-clearing double that lost the game for Oakland. A.J. Puk is the best alternative to Jimenez right now, although Oakland may want to try to go back to Lou Trivino at some point.
Hierarchy remains: Jimenez | Puk | Jackson.
Los Angeles Dodgers — Craig Kimbrel was unavailable the last two days as he focused on fixing issues with his delivery that may have contributed to his recent struggles. Dave Roberts says that Kimbrel will work regularly from here on out, taking no more than two days off in a row.
Hierarchy remains: Kimbrel | Hudson | Graterol.
Miami Marlins — The Marlins put 26 runs on the scoreboard Wednesday, but still came away with a loss. After a 14-1 victory over Colorado in the opening game of a doubleheader, Miami called on Anthony Bass to get two outs in the seventh, then keep the game tied through the eighth and ninth. But then came the tenth, when Cole Sulser yielded a walk-off home run to the first batter. Dylan Floro pitched a scoreless inning in the first game, but his 1.1 K/9 ratio certainly doesn’t scream high-leverage, so we’ll keep this hierarchy as it is for now.
Hierarchy remains: *Bass | Sulser | Floro.

St. Louis Cardinals — For getting the last out of the game with the bases loaded and a three-run lead, Nick Wittgren earned a save. With Ryan Helsley and Giovanny Gallegos in need of rest, it was a little strange to see Wittgren face Robinson Cano instead of lefty Genesis Cabrera. We’ll keep an eye on this.
Hierarchy remains: *Helsley | Gallegos | Cabrera.

Tampa Bay Rays — Matt Wisler got the extra-innings save for Tampa on Wednesday, the seventh player to pick one up in only 50 games. They’re on pace to crush the record (14)!
Hierarchy remains: *Poche | Feyereisen | Raley.
