Cleveland Indians – The Indians have called up their top relief prospect, James Karinchak. Karinchak sports a high-90s fastball that he rode to an 81% strikeout rate in the minors this year. Karinchak still has a lot of work to do on his command, and the Indians may be reluctant to throw him into high-leverage situations, but he may be a source of strikeouts down the stretch.
Hierarchy remains: Hand | Goody | Clippard.
Seattle Mariners — After a week, we finally learned that Matt Magill has been dealing with back issues. Expect him to hop back up to the top of the committee after his next appearance.
Hierarchy remains: *Bass | Tuivailala | Magill.

VULTURE SAVE WATCH
Today:
1. Brandon Kintzler — Roman Wick has thrown 53 pitches over the last three days, while Kintzler has been well-rested.
2. Nick Goody — Brad Hand is still day-to-day.
3. Joe Kelly — Kenley Jansen pitched last night, and the Dodgers have said they will limit his innings down the stretch.
4. Francisco Liriano — Felipe Vazquez and Richard Rodriguez have both pitched back-to-back and three of four.
5. Rafael Montero — Josh LeClerc has pitched in three in a row.
Saturday:
1. Aaron Bummer — Alex Colome threw 22 pitches last night, so a long outing today could keep him out on Saturday.
2. Scott Barlow/Tim Hill — Ian Kennedy has pitched back-to-back, but so have Barlow and Hill. Expect whoever gets rested tonight to get any Saturday chances.
3. Junior Guerra — Today would be three in a row for Josh Hader.
4. Joakim Soria — Same for Liam Hendriks,
5. Mike Morin — Today would be back-to-back and three of four for Hector Neris.
