RP Rankings and Waiver Wire Notes | 6.19.2026

Because saves have been so volatile this season, refreshing them before the weekend games and waiver wire runs should help fantasy managers prepare for recent changes in the high-leverage ecosystem. When assessing the rankings, understand that they remain fluid as sample sizes grow. They are a mix of in-season results and rest-of-season potential. Rankings should be part of a fantasy player’s toolkit, not the sole source of evaluation. This week may look different. I have continued to use updated SGPs (standard gains points) for the season and the last two weeks, with an eye on rest-of-season potential. Waiver wire recommendations will be listed after the rankings.

Waivers Primer

  • Elvis Alvarado (ATH): Can he build on his momentum since his promotion on June 6? He has allowed one earned run across 6.1 innings with 11 strikeouts and no walks (50 K-BB%) while posting a 0.316 WHIP.
  • Yoendrys Gómez (MIN): He has converted all four save opportunities in June and has been scoreless in six of eight games with a 13.2 percent swinging strike rate and eight strikeouts over 7.1 innings.
  • Tony Santillan (CIN): Yes, Emilio Pagán could initiate his rehab assignment in the minors after Friday, but until he’s back, Santillan has found past form. He’s recorded a save in his previous two appearances and is amid a six-game scoreless streak, during which he’s posted a 0.80 WHIP with five strikeouts and no walks (25 K-BB%) through five innings.
  • Jacob Webb (CHC): With Daniel Palencia on the injured list, the veteran will be added after securing a save on Wednesday.
  • Garrett Whitlock (BOS): Frustration is mounting in Boston; trades may ensue sooner rather than later.
  • Lucas Erceg (KC): Call it a hunch, and it could be unfounded, but Alex Lange has command issues that may manifest in a role change before July.
  • Ryan Zeferjahn (LAA): He’s not perfect, but could be the preferred save option for his team.
  • Alex Vesia (LAD): As a stream option for cheap, why not? Though during his last save, he issued three walks.
  • Eduard Bazardo/Gabe Speier (SEA)
