Taking over a tied game at the top of the ninth, Pete Fairbanks issued a walk, then departed with the trainer. While watching the game, he seemed to indicate he had no feeling in his hand, which is synonymous with his Raynaud’s syndrome. This usually necessitates an IL stint, though it’s premature to say at this point.
The team has played matchups when he’s missed time, but Calvin Faucher led the team in saves last year and has been pitching well in the second half.
