Arizona Diamondbacks — Scott McGough was called upon in the ninth Thursday after Joe Mantiply gave up a two-run shot with a four-run lead and he was able to record the final two outs for the save. Miguel Castro and Andrew Chafin had pitched in setup roles earlier in the game, and it appears McGough was saved for a potential save situation in the final inning. He has Arizona’s past three saves (and four of the past five for the team). One more McGough save and we’ll remove the asterisk.

1. Andrew Chafin (ARI) – Scott McGough has gone in two straight.
Saturday:
1. A.J. Minter (ATL) – A Friday appearance would be three of four for Raisel Iglesias.
2. Aroldis Chapman (KC) – Same as above for Scott Barlow.
3. Trevor Stephan (CLE) – The above is also true for Emmanuel Clase.
4. Tyler Rogers (SF) – If he goes Friday, that would be four of six for Camilo Doval.
5. Jason Adam (TB) – Pete Fairbanks threw 22 pitches Thursday and likely wouldn’t go in three straight.
