Miami Marlins – Jose Urena pitched a 1-2-3 10th inning to convert his first save opportunity in his new role as the Marlins’ closer. Expect Urena to get a majority of whatever save opportunities the Marlins can muster over the next few weeks.
Hierarchy remains: *Urena | Stanek | Garcia.
* = closer-by-committee
Los Angeles Dodgers – It wasn’t pretty, but Kenley Jansen picked up the save last night despite allowing another run thanks to a one-out walk and a double. Dave Roberts, who wasn’t exactly thrilled with the walk last night, has not only said that he wants to manage Jansen’s workload, but he also is willing to pitch his closer in non-save situations. If you’re searching for saves in your chase for a title, Joe Kelly and Pedro Baez could be worth adding.
Hierarchy remains: Jansen | Kelly | Baez.
Baltimore Orioles – Brandon Hyde chose to play the matchups in the first game of Tuesday’s doubleheader with the Rays, going to Mychal Givens in the eighth inning and leaving southpaw Richard Bleier to face two lefties due up in the ninth. Bleier recorded a 1-2-3 inning for his third, and most likely final, save of the season.
Hierarchy remains: *Givens | Armstrong | Harvey.
* = closer-by-committee
Hierarchy remains: *Lugo | Diaz | Wilson.

VULTURE SAVE WATCH
Today
1. Andrew Miller – Carlos Martinez has pitched in four straight.
2. Yoan Lopez – Archie Bradley threw 32 pitches last night. Kevin Ginkel’s 20-pitch outing yesterday was his third appearance in four days.
3. Joe Kelly – Kenley Jansen has pitched in three of the last four.
4. Sergio Romo – Taylor Rogers threw 21 pitches in a four-out save last night, which was his second straight day of work.
5. Scott Barlow – Ian Kennedy has pitched in three of the last four.
Tomorrow
1. Dealer’s Choice – An appearance today would be three of four for Hector Neris. Gabe Kapler will use just about anybody anywhere to get to Neris, so we’ll keep an eye on Wednesday’s usage.
2. Scott Barlow/Tim Hill – If Ian Kennedy pitches today that will be two straight and four of five. Scott Barlow also could be in line for a day off if he has a lengthy outing today.
3. Keone Kela – If Felipe Vazquez goes today that will be two straight and three of four.
4. Shawn Kelley – Jose Leclerc threw 24 pitches last night.
