Craig Kimbrel will avoid the IL

July 6, 2022

Los Angeles Dodgers – Craig Kimbrel’s CT scan came back clean yesterday, which means he will avoid the IL and be available today. Brusdar Graterol closed out Tuesday’s win for his second save of the season.

Hierarchy remains: Kimbrel | Graterol | Phillips.

Houston Astros – Rafael Montero allowed a run but did record two strikeouts to close out a 9-7 win over the Royals on Tuesday. Ryan Pressly, who pitched Sunday and also warmed up on Monday, was unavailable.

Hierarchy remains: Pressly | Montero | Stanek.

Oakland A’s – Lou Trivino picked up his fourth straight save on Tuesday, which is enough to kick the asterisk. We’ll also move Zach Jackson past A.J. Puk on the hierarchy after Jackson secured an eighth-inning hold to set up Trivino.

Updated hierarchy: Trivino | Jackson | Puk.

Tampa Bay Rays – After presumably reading our update wondering where Colin Poche was, Kevin Cash deployed Poche in the eighth inning of Tuesday’s win over the Red Sox. Poche walked one and struck out two to help the Rays protect an 8-4 victory.

Hierarchy remains: *Poche | Adam | Raley.
